The phone, which is seen as Samsung's answer to Motorola Inc.'s skinny and highly popular Razr phone, may help Sprint Nextel, the No. 3 U.S. mobile phone firm, compete with bigger rivals Cingular Wireless and Verizon Wireless.

NEW YORK (Reuters) - Danger Inc., creator of the popular Sidekick mobile phone, hopes to make a profit by the end of 2006 and to sign up a second phone manufacturing partner by the end this year, its chief executive said on Thursday.

The No. 2 U.S. mobile service said it filed a lawsuit accusing Global Information Group of making thousands of attempts to gather confidential information without authorization and using fraudulent schemes to do so, including impersonating Verizon employees and posing as customers.
